Jonathan Riley

jonathanBorn in Warwick, Jonathan moved to Worcestershire in 1969.

Coming from a musical family, Jonathan was taught piano at the age of 7. The family moved to Clevedon, North Somerset in 1979.

He joined Clevedon Brass Band initially playing trumpet and euphonium. Alongside these instruments, he progressed onto drums and percussion.

At the age of 18, he started performing in orchestras and playing for operatic society’s for shows in Bristol at the Colston Hall  and The Bristol Hippodrome.

At the same time, he joined “Bold Brass”, a ten piece brass ensemble and, with the band, toured Germany and Czechoslovakia .

He was performing on BBC Radio Bristol with many years of live broadcasts for Christmas at the Colston Hall. Also at this time, he was the drummer for a professional country singer, Chris Rainbow. He travelled the South West and South Wales with Chris.

In 1991, he joined “The Steve Doig Band”, a function band for weddings and parties. While together, the band performed for many celebrities and were the support band for Acker Bilk at “jazz in the park” at Ston Easton House.

For 20 years, Jonathan was assistant accountant for a Bristol company gaining plenty of
experience in this sector.

He now runs PMW Management, his own company, promoting and managing artists
